I finally did the haul up Mt. Washington. Went with my friend Shaun. We started out at Pinkham Notch around 8 AM and made our way up the Tuckerman Ravine trail to the HoJos where we did the rest break. From there we followed the trail into Tuckermans Ravine and up the headwall. Had to do a bit of scrambling there over the rocks, like everyone else. Then came the hike up to the summit. Weird bit is when you get to the top. First thing you see is a parking lot. Part of your mind rebels at that point, pointing out that you could have drove up in comfort. Instead you had to hike it up!
We rested up at the top, had a hot dog and then did the trek down. For the descent we went down the Lion's Head trail and followed the Tuckerman Ravine trail back to Pinkham Notch. This was a full day of hiking but a fun time. There are a few pictures of the day.
